Mount Billingen

Situated right next to the city, mount Billingen offers a wide variety of outdoor activities; such as hiking, mountain biking, ice skating and skiing.

Boulogner Forest

In the middle of Skövde sits the city's largest park, the Boulogner Forest, offering a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Valle District

The picturesque district of Valle is just a short trip outside the city, offering an amazing cherry blossom display during spring time.

Lake Hornborga

For a few weeks in March and April, over 20.000 cranes congregate at Lake Hornborga for what is called "trandansen" ("the crane dance"). Watch the spectacular display as the cranes make a stop on their annual migration from Germany to the northern parts of Scandinavia.

Tiveden National Park

About an hour's car ride from Skövde lies the spectacular Tiveden National Park. With it's deep forests, giant boulders and deep rift valleys, Tiveden is the perfect place for hiking and canoeing through some of the most magical nature Sweden has to offer.
